DAY 2

Heritage Cities and Sacred Evening Aarati

After breakfast, begin the day with a drive to Bhaktapur, one of the best-preserved historic cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, ancient temples, royal courtyards, traditional Newari architecture, pottery areas, and narrow heritage streets filled with local culture.

Later, continue to Patan Durbar Square, known for its elegant temples, finely carved stone and wooden architecture, historic palaces, and rich artistic heritage. Spend time exploring the old city and its traditional courtyards before returning toward Kathmandu.

In the evening, visit Pashupatinath Temple to witness the sacred Aarati ceremony on the banks of the Bagmati River. After the ceremony, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 3

Flight to Nepalgunj and First Jungle Safari in Bardia

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a short flight of approximately 45 minutes to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival, continue by private vehicle to Bardia and check in at the hotel or jungle lodge. After some time to rest and settle in, begin your first wildlife experience with a private jungle jeep safari.

Accompanied by an experienced naturalist, travel deep into the forest and explore the grasslands, riverbanks, and wildlife habitats of Bardia. The safari lasts approximately four hours and takes place in the late afternoon, when wildlife activity is often higher and there is a better chance of spotting wildcats and other animals. After the safari, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Bardia.

DAY 4

Full-Day Wildlife Safari and Karnali River Experience

Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel before setting out on another jungle jeep safari through a different section of Bardia. The route will be selected by the naturalist to improve the chances of observing a wider variety of wildlife. A packed lunch may be arranged for a picnic inside the jungle. During the excursion, visit the elephant and crocodile breeding centres and learn about local conservation efforts.

After returning to the hotel and taking some time to rest, continue with a peaceful river safari on the Karnali River. Travel in a traditional wooden boat as the river winds through the forest, offering excellent opportunities to observe birds, river wildlife, and animals along the banks. Later, enjoy sunset by the riverside with freshly prepared snacks and chilled beverages. In the evening, return to the hotel, freshen up, and enjoy dinner before an overnight stay in Bardia.

DAY 5

Full-Day Jungle Walk and Tiger Tracking

After breakfast, prepare for a full-day jungle walk inside Bardia National Park, carrying a light backpack with drinking water, snacks, and other personal essentials. A jeep will transfer you to the starting point, where you will continue on foot with an experienced tiger tracker and naturalist. Explore different sections of the park in search of Bengal tigers and other wildlife, with possible sightings of blackbucks, leopards, deer, monkeys, wild boars, and a variety of bird species. The route will be selected according to recent wildlife movement and park conditions. Enjoy a packed lunch in a designated area inside the jungle, followed by a short rest before continuing the tracking experience. A jeep may be used between selected locations when necessary. In the late afternoon, return to the accommodation for dinner and a well-earned rest after an exciting day in the wilderness.

DAY 6

Flexible Wildlife and Tiger Tracking Day

Today is kept flexible, allowing you to choose between another tiger-tracking experience or a more relaxed day in Bardia. After breakfast, you may return to the national park with an experienced tracker and naturalist to explore different areas where recent tiger activity has been reported, increasing the possibility of a sighting. As Bengal tigers are elusive wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed and depend entirely on nature and luck. Guests who have already had a successful sighting may instead choose to rest or enjoy an alternative activity such as a Tharu village visit, canoe ride, nature walk, or another jeep safari. In the evening, return to the accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay in Bardia.

DAY 7

Return to Kathmandu and Explore the Old City

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, continue with a guided exploration of the city, beginning with a walk through Thamel and its lively streets, shops, cafés, and local atmosphere. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to discover its ancient temples, royal courtyards, historic palaces, and traditional Newari architecture, then continue through Ason Bazaar, one of Kathmandu’s oldest and busiest local markets, known for spices, produce, textiles, and everyday city life. Later, drive to Hattiban, check in at the hotel, and enjoy a peaceful evening away from the busy city centre.

DAY 8

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. Later, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure.
